“Simon Forster brings a wealth of leadership experience in the retail industry,” the club said in a statement. “Joining Selfridges, the renowned luxury department store, in 2012, Simon played an instrumental role in developing its global reputation.

“Simon had a long history in the retail business before joining Selfridges. He was the Digital Director at Debenhams and had worked in a variety of buying capacities in the sector.

Simon presently serves in a number of chair and non-executive capacities for the international retail sector. His wide range of experience and vast network make him a priceless asset to Nottingham Forest.

Forster stated: “I am thrilled to be part of the Nottingham Forest team and look forward to leveraging my experience in the retail sector to help build the retail operation into a world-class Premier League business.”
