Stefano Sensi, a midfielder for Inter Milan, has agreed to a two-and-a-half year contract with Leicester City that will run until the end of June 2026.

This is reported by FCInterNews citing the print edition of the Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport from today.

Sensi is still a player for Inter. However, after four and a half years, it appears that the 28-year-old will soon be leaving the Nerazzurri.

Sensi has been the target of Leicester for the most of the January transfer window.

Enzo Maresca, the East Midlands team’s coach, has been a major advocate for the signing of the former Sassuolo midfield player.

Sensi needed to be accommodated in Leicester’s roster, thus they had to let go of one man.

Ironically, Cesare Casadei, a midfielder for the Inter youth team, was the one who departed Leicester. The 21-year-old’s Chelsea loan period came to an end.

And ever since, it has seemed like a matter of time until Sensi moves to Leicester.

Stefano Sensi To Sign Two-&-A-Half-Year Deal With Leicester City Until 2026

Sensi ought to finish his relocation to Leicester in the coming days.

The 28-year-old will travel to Tuscany with the Nerazzurri squad this evening to play Fiorentina in Serie A.

Sensi will, however, travel to England to complete his medical examination and sign a deal with Leicester.

In terms of the Inter-Leicester deal, everything is finalized.

The Championship club will reportedly pay the Nerazzurri a fee of around €3 million, including all add-ons.

And Leicester have also fully convinced Sensi.

The Foxes’ coach Maresca personally convinced the Italy midfielder on the project at the King Power Stadium.

Sensi and his representatives have fully agreed personal terms with Leicester.

The former Sassuolo player, 28, will sign a contract with the Foxes that will expire at the end of June 2026.
