Throughout this transfer window, Ivan Toney’s name hasn’t disappeared—the striker is frequently mentioned as being interested in leaving Brentford.
The England striker recently returned from an eight-month ban with a goal. But there’s still doubt about his future, and Toney recently fanned the flames by saying he would love to sign with a major league team.
Spurs and Arsenal are among the admirers, but a January deal is thought to be too costly, with rumours of Brentford requesting £100 million always surfacing.

Darragh MacAnthony has stated that Toney, the former chairman of Peterborough, would be a great striker for Manchester United, even though Arsenal would want to sign the Brentford star.
Jim Ratcliffe is instructed by MacAnthony to sign Ivan Toney for Manchester United.
In an interview with The Hard Truth podcast, Anthony MacAnthony emphasized that Ratcliffe and United ought to consider making Toney the new face of their team.
“He gets so little credit. He is extraordinary. This summer, United paid £60 million for a 22-year-old striker. By the conclusion of the season, Ivan will have scored more goals than he has. Jim Ratcliffe should have made the agreement sooner if he had any common sense. With Ivan Toney as the face of the new Manchester United organization, everything would change, and they would have a remote chance of finishing in the top four in the second half of the season. How talented,” MacAnthony remarked.
Rio Ferdinand, a legend of Manchester United, had stated that Toney would be perfect for Arsenal.
Nevertheless, Ferdinand would also not object to Toney joining United, considering his persistent demands for the signing of superior players.
At Old Trafford, Toney would take off.
To be fair, MacAnthony raises several valid points in this passage.
Ivan Toney would provide United with the focal point they lack—a proper number nine—that they are lacking.
Most importantly, he would be able to assist in enlisting Rasmus Hojlund as well. This season, the youthful striker had been expected to be the star player, but he isn’t quite ready yet.
Toney would therefore be a fantastic addition for Man United should they decide to blow the cash this summer.
