It appears that West Ham United wants to strengthen their forward line during the January transfer window.

Additionally, an Italian rumor claims that a potential offensive target for the Hammers is hopeful that they make a play for him this month.

Over the past few weeks, West Ham has been associated with Senegal attacker Boulaye Dia of Salernitana.

According to Calcio Salernitana, the 27-year-old seemed to enjoy partnering with the Hammers. The Serie A team is reportedly want “no less than €15million” (about £12 million) for Dia at this time.

The player “hopes for an insertion” of West Ham in the competition for his signature and “dreams” of joining the Premier League.

The fact that Dia is presently competing for Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations appears to make finding a move more difficult.

To help “speed up” a possible departure, the source suggests a face-to-face meeting between the striker’s camp and Salernitana general manager Walter Sabatini might occur over a long distance.

Boulaye Dia, a player wanted by West Ham, is “very strong.”

Salernitana refused to approve Dia’s transfer to the Premier League team, delaying his hopes of finalizing a summer transfer to Wolves.

The 2022 World Cup scorer eventually worked out his problems with the club’s management, despite his initial refusal to rejoin the team following the international break.

Now that the January transfer window is open, Dia appears to be seeking for a move once more, which could work in West Ham’s favor.
Carmine Raiola, an Italian journalist and Salernitana expert, recently discussed the purported Hammers target’s possible future in light of his connections to other Premier League teams.

Raiola stated, “A strong player, he makes the team move up and makes the team score,” in an interview with Labaro Viola on Radio Bruno. The hat-trick versus Fiorentina is a memory for all.

“He wants to leave Salerno. Sabatini was clear, the attacker must be sold permanently.

“For me, he will leave, just look at what happened in the summer. Very strong, but with a truly complicated character. From abroad, Frankfurt and Newcastle like him.”

If West Ham decides to increase their interest, they will undoubtedly like their chances of landing Dia during the January transfer window.

He is a competent player who will add quality to their front line, the club appears likely to approve a trade, he is apparently keen to move, and for roughly £12 million, he won’t break the bank.
