Ederson atalanta

According to Tutto Atalanta, Tottenham Hotspur has entered the competition for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, joining Premier League rivals Newcastle United.

This season, Ederson has been a vital member of Atalanta’s squad, contributing significantly to both their domestic and European success. Throughout the season, he has made frequent appearances for Gian Piero Gasperini’s team, making 20 Serie A games and contributing 6 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions.

According to Tutto Atalanta, the Brazilian midfield player is attracting interest from both Tottenham and Newcastle; the position is reportedly “between interest and confirmation.” This suggests that the clubs have not yet formalized their goals; thus far, just interests have been stated.

Atalanta is determined to hold onto the 24-year-old despite the Premier League duo’s interest because they see his “strategic value” as an essential component of their athletic ambition.

Ederson’s deal at the Gewiss Stadium expires in June 2026, and the Shields Gazette recently reported that Atalanta would require a minimum of £35 million in order to acquire the midfield player.

Tottenham is actively participating in the winter transfer window and moving quickly and effectively through the process. Ange Postecoglou has emphasized the value of making early acquisitions in order to smoothly incorporate new players into the tactical makeup of the squad.

In keeping with this tactical approach, Spurs have managed to sign German team RB Leipzig’s former Chelsea striker Timo Werner on a six-month loan with a buyout option in the summer.

The £25 million move of Romanian international Radu Dragusin to Spurs has also been finalized. With this quick addition, the Spurs hope to fill the defensive gap left by injuries to key players.
