Ange Postecoglou, the Celtics hero, has received praise from Rio Ferdinand for his recent interactions with an English media.

Celtic supporters had the good fortune to watch the now-Tottenham Hotspur manager accomplish a domestic triple crown in one of the most impressive and engaging ways in the team’s history the previous season.

In both on-field style of play and off-field media interactions, Ange Postecoglou is bringing a breath of fresh air to the Premier League. Despite a reporter disrespectfully questioning his trophy-winning capabilities with the query, “Do you picture yourself winning trophies?”, Postecoglou responded assertively, stating, “I’ve got real pictures, mate. There are quite a few of them, mate. I just look at the ones I have got. I’ve earned them, it’s not luck.”

Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand appreciated Postecoglou’s response, describing it as him telling the reporter to ‘sit back in your seat.’ The incident highlighted the ignorance of the English press but also showcased Postecoglou’s achievements not only at Celtic but also in Japan.

Life after Celtic for Ange Postecoglou

Given the glitz, glamour and money on show in the Premier League, many are just now starting to witness the magic of Postecoglou.

It could be argued that Spurs are playing the best football in the Premier League and the former Hoops man’s highly-demanding nature is playing a big part in that all.

At Parkhead, after taking over when Rangers won the league, the Australian took time to settle in before seriously motoring forward.

But at Spurs, he started like a house on fire. Picking up the most points from a new manager after ten games, sitting top of the league and now still sitting in a healthy position in fifth despite suffering big injuries across the pitch.
