Leeds United reveal another loan departure as a midfielder joins promotion. chasers

Leeds United midfielder Jack Jenkins has been loaned out to non-league Scunthorpe United until January. Jenkins becomes the 12th player to leave Leeds on loan this season, heading to the National League North in search of game time.

The midfielder joins the Iron’s first-team squad immediately and could make his debut for the Lincolnshire club against Buxton this weekend at Glanford Park. Scunthorpe United have made a strong start to the season after dropping to the sixth division of English football previous season. They now sit atop the league.

Jenkins, then, will be trying to help Scunthorpe build on that by coming into Jimmy Dean’s starting lineup and pushing them forward as they seek re-entry into the National League. Jenkins, of course, has previous loan experience, having spent last season with League Two side Salford City.

However, despite scoring on his debut for the Ammies, he only made 11 appearances for the club after failing to get into the first team at the Peninsula Stadium. The 21-year-old will be hoping for better luck this time, especially because his contract at Elland Road is set to expire at the end of the season.

Jenkins, who has four U21 appearances this season, has only made one senior game for the Whites despite being selected on the bench on numerous occasions in the Premier League. This came in the defeat against Crawley Town in
