Stefano Sensi, a midfield player for Inter Milan, is someone that Leicester City head coach Enzo Maresca has stated he wants to sign before the January transfer window closes.

On Friday, Maresca confirmed that he wanted to bring his Italian compatriot to the Championship leaders, albeit only after at least one exit has been facilitated.

Speaking to reporters, Maresca said: “It’s the kind of player I really like. But in this moment, we are not allowed to do anything, so we’ll see what happens knowing that January is just one month and players are sometimes not able to wait all of the month.”

The 28-year-old was only allowed to play as a substitute during the 2023–24 season, despite once being considered a vital member of the San Siro team.

Leicester is interested in this scenario. The playmaker’s contract is set to expire in the summer, and Inter has no intention of renewing it. Instead, they are willing to take a reduced amount.

Ahead of their trip to Coventry City on Saturday, Leicester hold a 13-point advantage in their bid to earn an immediate return to the Premier League.

Aston Villa's Lucas Digne on January 15, 2022

Al-Hilal, a Saudi Pro League team, is reportedly showing interest in left-back Lucas Digne, who plays for Aston Villa in the Midlands.

Throughout the campaign, Unai Emery has relied heavily on the left-back, who has made 23 starts and three substitute appearances across all competitions.

As Villa looks to fight for the Premier League crown, FA Cup, and Europa Conference trophy, they have no intention of cashing in on the France international.

But according to L’Equipe, Al-Hilal is keeping an eye on the 30-year-old as they try to bolster their own league title hopes.

Because Digne still has two and a half years left on his deal, the league leaders are reportedly attempting to negotiate a loan with a buyout option.

Villa would only consider letting Digne go if they were able to acquire a worthy replacement, which would not be an easy assignment at this time in the season. However, an offer is expected to be turned down.

Atlanta United midfielder Thiago Almada (23) celebrates with teammates on July 30, 2023

Atletico Madrid is allegedly considering whether to submit an offer to capture Thiago Almada, an Atlanta United player.

The 22-year-old is one of the stars of Major League Soccer, making 33 appearances in 2023 and dishing out 16 assists in addition to 12 goals.

Transfer specialist Fabricio Romano claims that Atletico are huge fans of Almada, despite the fact that Atlanta will prefer to see the Argentine play for at least one more season at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Given that Saudi Arabia is showing interest in Angel Correa, it is conceivable that the La Liga heavyweights may need to take action to find an attacker to replace Correa.

Almada is rumored to be high on Atletico’s shortlist, but the club won’t pursue the deal unless the sale of his fellow Argentinean produces a big profit due to Atletico’s financial difficulties.
