Kris Moore, the defender for Leeds United, is currently on trial with the Scottish club; Hibs boss Nick Montgomery has confirmed the transfer.

This week, the 20-year-old, who has been a regular for the under-21 team at Thorp Arch, participated in the 5-1 loss to Swiss team Servette.

According to Montgomery, the Scottish team is debating whether or not to sign him in January.

“We’re taking a look at Chris Moore, the young defender from Leeds,” he stated at 09:57 in the Daily Record daily updates. With Lewis Miller out and only having young Rory otherwise, I didn’t think we had enough players to attend the camp, so it was a nice chance to check him out at right-back. It was also beneficial for him and Kanayo to get some playing time.

The recent signing of a contract extension until the summer of 2025 reflects the Whites’ recognition of Moore’s potential and value to the club.

However, Moore will need to assess his own career ambitions and playing time expectations.

If he wants to play regularly in the first team and thinks it could be difficult to do so at Leeds in the near future, he might look into other options that provide more chances to play right away.

Leeds’ decision to sign him to a new deal puts them in a position to possibly recover a respectable transfer fee should they want to sell him.

He hasn’t signed a contract with Hibs yet, but if he shows promise in the next trial matches, they might try to sign him long-term this year.
