This month, Nuno Espirito Santo intends to bolster his attacking corps.

Nuno Espirito Santo arrived, but Nottingham Forest was having trouble staying in good form.

But thanks to the Portuguese manager’s inspiration, his team has already defeated Manchester United and Newcastle United, moving up to 15th place in the Premier League.

However, Forest will aim to recruit a new forward to their ranks this winter due to a lack of depth in their attack.

Nottingham Forest transfers latest – Che Adams

Reports from Turkey state that Forest is interested in signing Che Adams once more. The forward was first targeted by Forest in the summer.

The 27-year-old may depart Southampton for free in the summer because his contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.

This implies that Forest might make the striker a lowball offer this month. This is a deal that should be quite simple to close.

The plan was to deploy Chris Wood, who cost £15 million when recruited in the summer, as an impact substitute or as Taiwo Awoniyi’s backup. But the 32-year-old has filled in for the Nigerian, who sustained an injury in November that will keep him out of action until April.

With seven goals, the former Burnley striker leads Forest’s league scoring total, but he hasn’t scored many or often. The New Zealand player’s contract expires this summer, so Forest may try to find a replacement.

Adams is the striker who has the potential to ruin Wood’s career at Forest because his arrival would appear to move the former Newcastle star down the ladder. Despite playing seldom this season, the Saints attacker has made 11 starts across all competitions, tallying two assists and seven goals.

However, Adams’ statistics from the previous year are displayed in the table below along with a comparison to his positional counterparts.

First of all, it’s evident that Adams is a versatile center forward who can contribute to a team in any stage of the game, which is why football analyst Statman Dave calls him “underrated.” Additionally, the 5 foot 9 striker’s xG to non-penalty goal ratio indicates that the former Birmingham City player is clinical in attack, which is a critical asset for Forest given to their lack of possession and usual underdog status.

Adams is a striker who can not only combine with those around him but also advance the play without wasting any passes, as evidenced by his high pass completion rate, progressive passes, and passes into the final third. He works hard as a center forward as well, pressing and regaining possession by circling back to stop counterattacks.

All things considered, Nuno needs to try to sign Adams because of his relatively low cost, which makes it a very low-risk acquisition.
