West Ham signed four players this summer in a busy window for David Moyes’ side: Konstantinos Mavropanos, James Ward-Prowse, Edson Alvarez, and Mohammed Kudus.

All four were well greeted, but Kudus piqued supporters’ curiosity the most as the lively forward-thinking youngster turned down rumored interest from Brighton and Chelsea to transfer to the London Stadium.

The 23-year-old earned his debut off the bench in the Hammers’ 2-1 win against Luton Town and is set to play a significant role following the international break.

Meanwhile, the former Ajax player has joined the Ghanaian side in Kumasi and played in a game.

Among those cheering Kudus and the Black Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday was a West Ham fan who had travelled all the way over from London.

The fan claimed in a video posted on social media that he had made the trip solely to see Kudus perform.

“I’m here to keep an eye on Mohammed Kudus, our new signing.” Very strong and skilled player…”I’ve traveled all the way from the United Kingdom to see Kudus and the Black Stars,” he added.

He then displayed a tattoo of West Ham’s symbol on his right arm before declaring, “West Ham are massive.”

Thankfully, the trip was not in vain, as Kudus netted an equalizer from a free-kick to cancel out Louis Mafouta’s 25th-minute goal.
