But acceptable replacements were brought in with the likes of James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez, with the players enjoying their time in claret and blue this season.

The Premier League 2 Player of the Month title for December went to the striker because of his outstanding play [official West Ham website, January 12]. The 19-year-old won the monthly award for the second time; in September, he was also awarded the honor.
With 16 goals in 10 Premier League 2 games thus far, the teenager is undoubtedly a lock for Moyes’ starting lineup.
There is, however, an equal probability that a first-team debut will not happen anytime soon, with the Hammers preparing to let the kid leave on loan this month [Evening Standard, 31 December].

Marshall is now prepared for the move to the first team, thus Hammers manager Moyes ought to approve that transfer as soon as possible.
While staying in Premier League 2 is undoubtedly a viable option for him at this point in his career, taking a loan to another team would be far more wise.
If Marshall wants to play for the West Ham first team soon, senior football is a better option for him than staying in youth football, where he is excelling. Senior football will put Marshall to the test.
