Everton’s transfer window speculation is heating up, as another striker has been linked with a move to Goodison Park.

Sean Dyche is forward options have been dreadful this season, scoring only seven goals in 38 appearances in all competitions. Dyche has been chopping and changing all season, and both Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are trying to find a position.

As a result, the team’s attacking production has been erratic, with Abdoulaye Doucoure leading the way with six goals in all competitions. Dyche is definitely anxious to reinforce this area, as there have been many transfer links to strikers in recent days.

Everton appear to be on the verge of a showdown with Premier League rivals for the signature of one of Serie A’s most dangerous forwards.

Everton in the race to sign Boulaye Dia

According to Cronache di Salerno’s reports in Italy, the Premier League is a three-way fight to recruit Boulaye Dia. Everton are expected to face stiff competition for the striker, who has been dubbed a’revelation’ at Salernitana.

West Ham United and Wolves are said to be interested, with the latter having expressed an interest since the summer. It is expected that a sum of at least £17 million would be necessary for the Serie A club to part ways with their top player.

Of course, Everton have options if a deal for Dia proves too costly or if he prefers to transfer elsewhere. This might come in the form of Lawrence Shankland, who has been mentioned as a possible target for the Toffees.

Sadio Mane gives Boulaye Dia his blessing.

Dia has been a standout performer throughout his career, even before moving to Italy.

Sadio Mane, a Senegal international, admitted to being impressed by the forward while he was playing for Reims in France.

“I did not know him before,” he said, according to Ligue 1 media.

“But I have been following him since the beginning of the season, and I am really impressed by his qualities.” Believe me, I do not think he will stay in Reims forever!”
