Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in recruiting one Chelsea player on loan until the end of the season.

According to the Evening Standard, its London Premier League rivals are interested in bringing in Andrey Santos on a temporary basis, ahead of a number of Championship clubs.

Santos has endured a nightmare first proper season in English football, which is a massive shame considering just how highly he is rated at Stamford Bridge.

Some fans were even more delighted about his £18 million arrival a year ago than they were when they broke their transfer record to bring in Enzo Fernandez.

However, after being loaned to a Premier League club in the form of Nottingham Forest, he has been forced to watch from the bench for virtually the whole season.

This season, he has only made one appearance in the Premier League and one in the EFL Cup, which is why he will be returning to Stamford Bridge in the coming days.

There is no urgency for the Blues to make a decision on his future, given they are certain to be irritated by his treatment this season.

Palace have surfaced as a prospective suitor that will retain him in the Premier League after they were only able to loan him to an English side this month.

They recently faced the Eagles at Stamford Bridge, where Noni Madueke scored late from the penalty spot to secure a crucial three points for the Blues.

Santos might benefit from some high-level minutes under his belt before the race for spots heats up in West London, where the midfield position will be hotly contested in the coming years.
