Leeds United’s team list was submitted to the English Football League on Wednesday, and the league’s website received it on Thursday night.

After a significant summer reconstruction by Daniel Farke and the Whites leadership, there haven’t been any major surprises in Leeds United’s 25-man roster for this season’s Championship.

Championship teams are only allowed to name 25 senior players in their squad, and according to the list posted last night on the English Football League website, Leeds United have left four positions open. Clubs can still sign unrestricted free agents and sign players later on.

Players who are not on the 25-man list, though, won’t be able to participate until they re-register after the January transfer window closes. There is room for newcomers because players like Charlie Cresswell, Wilfried Gnonto, Joe Gelhardt, and Archie Gray are all listed as Under-21 athletes.

We couldn’t’ – Leeds United manager Unai Emery admits to Aston Villa’s strength.
The top executive of Leeds United has made an admission about Aston Villa manager Unai Emery.

Leeds United’s chief executive claims the club “could not afford or secure” Unai Emery before he joined Aston Villa.

Angus Kinnear made the revelation when addressing how teams approach managerial transitions and how much a manager may improve things in a time when a quick turnaround is sorely needed.

He cited Villa and Emery as successful examples of this. After a poor start to the 2022-23 season under the former Rangers manager, Emery took over in October 2022. Emery came in and completely changed the team’s fortunes, with the season culminating in European qualification.
