The centre-back stayed at Selhurst Park for seven and a half years, becoming a regular starter in the Premier League.

He joined Reading in the summer of 2021, but he couldn’t assist the Royals avoid relegation from the Championship last season.

`Dann left the club earlier this summer, and it remains to be seen if he will seek a new challenge in the game or retire at the age of 36.

Nyambe progressed through the Rovers development system before making his senior debut against Shrewsbury Town in the Carabao Cup in August 2015.

The defender went on to start almost 180 games at Ewood Park until electing to leave at the conclusion of his contract in the summer of 2022, bringing his 11-year affiliation with the club to a close.

He signed a one-year contract with Wigan and appeared 33 times in all competitions as the Latics were relegated to League One.

Nyambe was let go by the club in May after his contract ended, and he is still looking for a new home.

Jones, another Academy graduate, made his Rovers debut against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup in 2009.

The defender went on to play a lot of games over the next several seasons, earning a reputation as a kid with a bright future.

He was signed by Manchester United in the summer of 2011 and spent more than a decade at Old Trafford, making 229 appearances and being part of a winning squad both at home and in Europe.

However, opportunities were scarce during Jones’ final two seasons at United, and he left the club in the summer.

Hoilett began his career at Rovers as a youngster, turning down the chance to join Manchester United’s ranks.

The Canadian played in five different countries and had to deal with a work permit nightmare before finally making his Premier League debut against Manchester City in 2009.

He went on to play just shy of 100 matches during his time in East Lancashire, scoring 14 goals in all competitions.

A move to QPR in the summer of 2012 followed after Rovers’ relegation out of the top flight, and Hoilett would also have stints at Cardiff and Reading.

The attacker became a free agent over the summer despite the Royals’ hopes of keeping him in Berkshire and has been linked with a move to Huddersfield in recent weeks.

Ayala, the most recent Rovers departure on the list, made 26 appearances for the club during the 2022/23 season.

The centre-back spent three years in East Lancashire after previously playing for Norwich and Middlesbrough.

The club decided not to keep Ayala, however he did use the Brockhall facilities to stay healthy while looking for a new team.

The Spaniard is said to have had alternatives in the Championship, but his next move is unknown.
