Major football clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool, have shown interest in acquiring Andre.

However, it appears that Fulham is on the verge of securing his signature, potentially marking a significant success for Marco Silva’s team. talkSPORT indicates that the Cottagers have a preliminary agreement in place with Andre.

Fulham is ready to commit to a payment exceeding £20 million to Fluminense, with the outcome hinging on the potential sale of Joao Palhinha offsetting Andre’s arrival.

Bayern Munich is anticipated to renew their interest, having come close to signing Palhinha last summer, and Arsenal remains genuinely interested. However, the high price tag of £75 million or more makes it unlikely for them to join the pursuit of the Portuguese international in the January transfer window.

Andre has dedicated his entire career to Fluminense in the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, progressing from the academy to the first team. With 169 senior appearances for the club, he most recently featured in the Club World Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Fluminense secured a 2-0 victory against Egyptian side Al Ahly, with Andre delivering yet another impressive performance and earning the Man of the Match title.

In response to questions about Fulham’s interest, Andre shared with talkSPORT, “I follow the Premier League, and playing there is a big dream for me.”

He emphasized his current focus on concluding the season with Fluminense and achieving the team’s dream of winning the Club World Cup. However, he expressed a clear aspiration to become a Premier League player.

Following Fluminense’s win, they are set to face either Urawa Red Diamonds or Manchester City in the final. A potential clash with Manchester City would mark Andre’s first encounter with Premier League opposition, and he eagerly anticipates the challenge.

“Over the past five years, Manchester City has been the best team in the world, and everyone in Brazil stops to watch them play,” he remarked. “Playing in the Club World Cup final against Manchester City, if they make it through, would be an incredible experience.”

“I am focused on finishing the season with Fluminense and realising our dream of winning the Club World Cup. But my dream is clear, to be a Premier League player.”

Fluminense’s win means they will face either Urawa Red Diamonds or Manchester City in the final on Friday night.

A clash against the latter would see Andre face Premier League opposition for the first time, and he is relishing such a challenge.

“Over the last five years, Manchester City are the best team in the world and everyone in Brazil stops to watch them play,” he added.

“It will be an incredible experience to play in the Club World Cup final against Manchester City if they get in through to it.”
