‘Agreement in place’: Journalist claims £8 million Everton player might quit the club today.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, a deal to take Everton’s Demarai Gray to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq could be completed today, with only paperwork remaining, with a final sum of £8 million agreed.

Gray will sign a four-year contract with Steven Gerrard’s team, according to Jacobs, and the transfer might be announced today.

“Agreement now in place between Al-Ettifaq and Everton for Demarai Gray,” Jacobs stated.

“There is only paperwork left.” The total sum is around £8 million ($10 million). Gray has agreed to a four-year contract.

“If all goes according to plan, Al-Ettifaq will announce Gray tomorrow.”

This is a big development, as Sean Dyche just stated that Gray would be reintegrated into the Everton squad.

Gray has since resorted to Instagram to express his dissatisfaction with his treatment.

And, although expressing his gratitude to Everton fans, he intimated that he would be unable to continue at the club.

The 27-year-old appears to be looking for a new challenge outside of the Premier League.

Gray might quit Everton today and join Al-Ettifaq.
Gray joined the club in 2021 from Bayer Leverkusen.

He was undoubtedly at his finest under previous manager Frank Lampard and was essential at various points during his career.

Gray, on the other hand, is no longer in matchday teams.

Dyche stated in an interview that he did so for a variety of reasons, citing Gray’s fitness and transfer rumors as two important factors.

As a result, it appears that Gray would benefit from an Everton exit for Al-Ettifaq today.

Furthermore, Everton have already strengthened their wide offensive players this summer.

Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Harrison have both joined on loan, though the latter has yet to play.

Gray, who has shone for Everton but now feels his situation at the club untenable, will most likely leave with a sad heart.
