This Friday, Leeds United takes on Leicester City in a crucial match at the top of the table. The hosts will be without midfielder Wilfred Ndidi for the encounter.

Leeds, who have already defeated Ipswich Town this season, will now take on Leicester City, who are presently leading the table and sitting comfortably above them in the automatic promotion spots.

With 13 victories from their first 14 games in the Championship, the Foxes have had an almost flawless debut, leading them by 14 points over Leeds.

Leicester team news: Ndidi out

Similar to Daniel Farke, Enzo Maresca has kept a sizable chunk of the team he inherited following relegation, giving him access to some of the best depth in the division at the moment.

Wilfred Ndidi, a Nigerian international, is one of the players he has been relying on a lot in his newfound, more advanced role.

The Leicester Mercury now report that the midfield player will be out until the next international break as a result of an injury, which means he won’t be available for Friday’s game at King Power Stadium.

Regarding the individual who earns £75,000 a week, the report stated:

“Wilfred Ndidi was ruled out for potentially ‘weeks’ by Maresca last Friday and so it’s not expected he will play any part against Leeds either. The Nigerian midfielder may not return until after the November international break.”

Leicester City v Leeds United predictions?

Like us losing a midfield player, Ndidi’s departure is a huge setback for the Foxes, but they have other options to play in that position.

Cesare Casadei, a Chelsea loanee, has been filling in, so it’s not like they are truly losing out due to a serious injury.

Although Ndidi is a fantastic option at this level, Leicester supporters probably won’t go to sleep worrying about how they’re going to cover it.
