Everton are allegedly interested in acquiring Blackburn Rovers midfielder Adam Wharton in January, although they will have competition.

A number of Premier League clubs are interested in the 19-year-old, who is regarded as one of the best young central midfielders in the Championship.

Wharton made his senior squad debut for Blackburn last year. He has already established himself as a dependable starter for the Lancashire club, making 33 appearances thus far, contributing three assists and two goals in the process.

There is no denying his talent or ability to improve; he has also made six appearances for England’s under-19 team. There is no shortage of interest in Wharton, as Newcastle, Manchester United, Brighton, Wolves, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Chelsea have all expressed interest in him in the past.

Everton now appears prepared to enter the Wharton bidding war and may offer for him in January, but they will need to act swiftly if they want to get his signature.

Everton also planning to make a January offer for Wharton

Everton is “getting ready to launch a January bid” for Wharton, and Newcastle and Brighton are also taking offers into consideration. He mentions that Crystal Palace is also competing.

This winter, Sean Dyche is rumored to be interested in signing a new midfielder. Amadou Onana has also delivered some strong performances, and James Garner has been in outstanding form lately.

However, Idrissa Gana Gueye has exhibited some inconsistency, and Everton may be without him for a while once the Africa Cup of Nations begins in mid-January. He is important to Senegal.

One of the Toffees’ most crucial players, Abdoulaye Doucoure, will also compete for Mali in the match. In light of this, Dyche could be wise to sign a new center-mid in January, and Wharton might be a great acquisition in the long run.

The Merseyside giants will have to put their money where their mouth is in order to close a deal because prior reports state that Blackburn would only accept offers for the kid that were greater than £10 million.

The length of time it takes for 777 Partners to finalize their takeover of Everton could affect their ability to spend. Clubs like Newcastle and Brighton might outbid them for the Rovers star if they wait too long to submit an offer for Wharton.
