Burnley have received two injury boosts ahead of their rematch against Nottingham Forest.
After a two-week international break, Vincent Kompany’s team travel to the City Ground on Monday night.
The Clarets will be looking for their first points of the season after losing their opening three games in a row to Manchester City, Aston Villa, and Tottenham.
Burnley’s highest scorer in the Premier League this season, the South African, will return to play on Tuesday, October 3 when they travel to Luton Town.
“He will be (a miss), but that’s why you build a squad,” Kompany explained. “We have players who can fill this role.” We have other players that can contribute.
“As we saw on Monday with Mike Tresor’s arrival, there will be more to come.” There are certain guys who have yet to play who have the ability to help us. Hopefully, they will be able to step up in these situations.
“I’m a little more cautious because he’s been very open about mental health in the past, so I’ll back off and make sure he’s ready for the next game.”
