Wrexham are in action once again on Tuesday night as Phil Parkinson heads to South Yorkshire to take on Sheffield United in the Carabao Cup.
The new season is well and truly underway as the Saturday-Tuesday schedule begins mere days into the season.
Wrexham beat Wycombe Wanderers 3-2 at the STōK Cae Ras as Phil Parkinson opened the campaign with a victory.
Wrexham were given a late scare but secured all three points to start the League One campaign in style.
Now the Carabao Cup comes into focus with Wrexham facing a big clash against Sheffield United.
The Blades have only recently been relegated from the Premier League and beat Preston North End 2-0 to open their Championship campaign.

Phil Parkinson on Ollie Rathbone
Wrexham will be underdogs for this game but Parkinson may use this as a chance to bring some players into the starting XI.
One of those players could be new signing Ollie Rathbone after he completed a move from Rotherham United on Friday.
The midfielder wasn’t involved against Wycombe but may be in line for a debut against Sheffield United.
Rathbone should make a big impact over the course of the season and Wrexham fans can’t wait to see him in action for the first time.
The 27-year-old has bags of EFL experience with Rochdale and Rotherham United, racking up more than 250 league appearances before his move to Wrexham.
Wrexham boss Parkinson has now told The Leader that he is still looking at potential signings despite landing Rathbone.
Parkinson added that he is ‘delighted’ to have landed Rathbone and believes that fans will love watching him play.
Parkinson also admitted that Rathbone could be involved against Sheffield United as Wrexham look to help him to settle in.
“We are assessing it all the time,” said Parkinson. “I am delighted with Ollie, I think he is a player our supporters will enjoy watching play. He is energetic but he has got real craft as well and he can play as an eight or off a striker, he is gives us a bit of versatility.”
“He only came in on Friday, he did a bit of a session on the pitch on Saturday so we get him ready for Tuesday if he is selected,” he added.
Who else could start for Wrexham?
A start or at least a substitute appearance for Rathbone makes perfect sense after completing his move to Wrexham.
Parkinson must also consider starts for other players and fellow summer signings could join Rathbone in the side.
Sebastian Revan was only a substitute against Wycombe Wanderers whilst Dan Scarr was unused on the bench.
Both players will surely come in for first competitive starts against Sheffield United as Parkinson weighs up changes.
George Evans and Luke Bolton will be knocking on the door too whilst Callum Burton may look to come in for Arthur Okonkwo in goal.
