Reading FC are set to avoid League One relegation next season, according to a ‘SuperComputer’.

A model created by a specifically curated code by Grosvenor Sport, has calculated a predicted League One table for next season.

The Royals are still currently under a transfer embargo and in limbo with a takeover deal yet to be completed with less than a month until the new campaign kicks off.

Reading start their season with an away trip to Birmingham City, who were relegated from the Championship last season.

The ‘Supercomputer’ has predicted Reading for a 14th placed finish, which would be three places better off than last season’s 17th.

It has calculated a projected 59 points for the Royals, who tallied 53 last campaign while also suffering points deductions for a third consecutive year.

Meanwhile, the prediction also sees Reading’s opening day opponents, Birmingham, set for an instant return to the Championship with a top of the table finish and has them to finish on 96 points and joined in the automatic promotion places by Blackpool.
