Bobby De Cordova-Reid, a winger for the Jamaican national team, has officially signed a three-year contract with Leicester City.

The 31-year-old De Cordova-Reid comes to the cubs from Fulham, where he played in more than 200 games. He stated his delight about joining Leicester City in an interview with LCFC.com.

Arriving here and taking in the surroundings and infrastructure was a unique experience. That “wow” factor is there. It is pleasant to feel. He remarked, “I’m happy to be here and I’m excited to get started.

Along with his observations, De Cordova-Reid also revealed his conversations with the manager.

“I had a great conversation with the manager, who shared the club’s vision with me. He was rather explicit about what he wanted and what he saw in me over our several conversations. It’s the ideal fit for me, and he has faith in me.

De Cordova-Reid, who was born in Bristol, started his professional career with Bristol City and made his debut for the Robins in the 2010–11 season.

He made a name for himself at Ashton Gate following loan stints at Plymouth Argyle, Oldham Athletic, and Cheltenham Town. After netting 19 goals in the league, he was included in the PFA Championship Team of the Year for 2017–18.

He joined Cardiff City of the Premier League in June 2018 and scored five goals in fifteen games. In August 2019, he moved on loan to Fulham, where he eventually settled in January 2020. Twenty-nine times did De Cordova-Reid play for the club when he was at Craven Cottage.

De Cordova-Reid has gained 33 caps for Jamaica in the international arena. He has competed for his nation in the Copa América this summer as well as the CONCACAF Gold Cup competitions in 2021 and 2023.
