Chris Jack reports that Rangers will be scheduling off-field meetings at Ibrox in the near future.

The dependable journalist writes on the Rangers Review website (20 June) that the team is still committed to ensuring that Philippe Clement and Nils Koppen have a successful transfer window.

However, following the unexpected loss of academy chief Zeb Jacobs to Feyenoord [1908, 25 April] and James Bisgrove to the Middle East earlier in the window [Chris Jack, 31 May], chairman John Bennett is now looking to bring people in who have taken up duties on a more hands-on approach in their absence.

Rangers full steam ahead in the summer transfer window

A busy summer was expected at Ibrox this summer, and a busy summer is being had at the club before June is even over.

Several exits were confirmed by the club with five first-team contracts expiring and the club are now closing in on a fifth summer signing in Hamza Igamane to follow on from the arrivals of Jefte, Oscar Cortes, Clinton Nsiala and Connor Barron.

But nobody is under any illusions that the summer business is complete and there is still a long way to go for the team to look the way Clement wants it to.

Rangers Philippe Clement

He claimed at the end of the 2023/24 season that the current squad had reached the end of it’s cycle and that means big changes are required, with several positions needing to be addressed.

With so long to go in the window there will be plenty of twists and turns for sure with the squad, but it’s clear that everyone is on the same page at Ibrox and they all want to get things done quickly.
