The England defender, who Liverpool is interested in, is valued similarly to Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton.

Marc Guehi, the newest sensation from England, is still a target for Crystal Palace, even if he continues to have a strong European Championship debut.

And should Guehi request to depart upon his return from Germany, Palace is ready to open bidding at £65 million.

Liverpool was already interested in Guehi before the competition began, having seen him excel in England’s opening Group C triumph over Serbia.

With two years remaining on his Palace deal, the former Chelsea defender has drawn the attention of Liverpool, while other teams are anticipated to show interest in the gifted 23-year-old.

Guehi has put his club future on hold while he is away at the Euros with England, so Palace will be cautious about letting him approach the final 12 months of his contract.

However, the Selhurst Park team is getting ready to start negotiations for a new contract that would keep Guehi around for at least another season.

Crystal Palace will demand £65m-plus for Marc Guehi but hope he will not leave this summer

Insiders claim that if those negotiations go through, Palace will not consider offers for Guehi that are less than £65 million this summer, taking into account Everton’s asking price for Jarrad Branthwaite.

Everton has set a £70 million asking price for Branthwaite, and Palace has a comparable valuation for Guehi.

After Palace’s incredible season-ending performance under head coach Oliver Glasner—about whom Bayern Munich even made inquiries—they will have a challenging summer.

Tottenham Hotspur is very interested in Guehi’s England teammate Eberechi Eze, while Chelsea, Bayern, and Newcastle United approached Palace about Michael Olise last week.

In addition to offering Guehi a significant pay boost and the assurance of a get-out option in his next contract, Palace is also rumored to have release clauses in the contracts of both Olise and Eze that might be activated this summer.

Because of his performance against Serbia, Guehi is now John Stones’ first-choice center defensive partner for England at the Euros.
