It appears that this summer, West Ham United boss Julen Lopetegui is looking to add another right winger to his roster.

Luis Guilherme was previously acquired by West Ham from Palmeiras by Julen Lopetegui in a move reportedly valued at approximately £25.5 million.

The manager of the Hammers is also reportedly keeping a close eye on Portuguese player Jota Silva, who is a left-footed winger.

But Lopetegui is obviously not done yet, as he is still slinging his net wide in an effort to bolster his offensive lineup at the London Stadium.

Prior to the start of the new season, the 57-year-old does need to fortify almost every position at West Ham.

When David Moyes left the team at the end of the previous season, he left behind an aging and incredibly unbalanced roster.

However, it appears that Lopetegui is mainly focused on enhancing his alternatives in the last third at the moment.

Julen Lopetegui could sign yet another right winger for West Ham

The head of the Hammers is searching for more formidable opponents for his right side division.

In any case, that’s what an Italian report purports to say.

West Ham has reportedly contacted Juventus to let them know that they would shortly be submitting an offer for Matias Soule, a player in whom the Hammers are rumored to have a “concrete interest” in signing. This information was obtained by Calcio Mercato.

According to reports, Juventus would ask for at least €35 million (£30 million) in exchange for the Argentine sensation this summer.

In his 21 senior games for Juventus, the left-footed right winger has only managed one goal and zero assists.

He did, however, record 11 goals and three assists in 36 Serie A games while playing on loan for Frosinone during the previous campaign.

Although Matias Soule is a wonderful young player, I don’t think West Ham needs another right-footed winger who is left-footed.

At the London Stadium, Lopetegui already has Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen, and the most recent addition, Guilherme, at his disposal.

The Spaniard need to, in my opinion, be concentrating all of his efforts on acquiring a left-footed winger who is right-footed right now; Jota Silva would be a suitable candidate.
