Several well-wishers have sent messages of support to 54-year-old Kevin Campbell and his family as he is presently receiving treatment in a hospital. Campbell was once a striker for Arsenal and Everton.
Kevin Campbell, a former forward for Everton and Arsenal, has reportedly been admitted to the hospital after becoming unwell.
Although Campbell’s present health is unknown, sources who spoke with the ECHO verified that he was admitted to the hospital last week.
Both celebrities and football enthusiasts have poured their support behind Campbell since word of his health problems leaked.
Legendary Premier League player Trevor Sinclair posted the following on his Twitter alternative account, X: “Sending prayers, love, and light to Kevin Campbell.” incredibly beautiful person.”
An impassioned social media message by ardent supporter Ste Kelly stated: “In 1999, Evertonians prayed to God, and Kevin Campbell answered.” We are currently in a state of prayer to God for Kevin Campbell; let him receive our support. Big guy, reach down deep and grab this.”
In 1985, Campbell joined Arsenal as a schoolboy and rapidly established himself as a star in the academy, scoring an astounding 59 goals in one season. In 1988, he made his first-team debut against his future side Everton and won the FA Youth Cup with the Gunners.
After moving to London, the striker made over 200 appearances for Arsenal and won five major awards while playing for the Gunners.
Before going to Trabzonspor, Campbell played for Nottingham Forest for four years after transferring there in 1995. Later on in his adventure, he arrived in Everton in March 1999.
Campbell’s incredible nine-goal run in five games clinched Premier League safety with a game to spare, despite Everton’s fight with relegation and a depressing 2-1 home loss to Sheffield Wednesday in his debut match, according to the Express.
Campbell played with Everton until 2005, when he transferred to West Bromwich Albion. He then signed a short-term contract to play for Cardiff City. He scored 148 goals in more than 540 professional appearances during the course of his two-decade career.
The tributes have also continued to flood in on social media.
Rob Coppell chimed in, sharing his worries: “Sending love, strength, and best wishes to Super Kevin Campbell.”
Emma Webb offered her blessings and wishes for recovery: “Just heard about Kevin Campbell… sending all my love to him, praying he gets well soon.”
In the same vein, Ryan Fletcher extended his warm thoughts, saying: “Thoughts and prayers go out to Kevin Campbell and all his family and friends. Kevin is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met really hope he makes a full recovery and gets better asap.”
