Two Premier League clubs are presently pursuing a Nottingham Forest player in advance of the summer transfer season.

Although clubs aren’t yet able to sign players, preparations are already being made.

In order to avoid receiving an additional point reduction for violating sustainability and profitability standards, Forest must sell players by June 30th.

This season, Nuno Espirito Santo wants his squad to be evaluated just on the field, with four points deducted from them in 2023–2024.

It has already come to light that two clubs are keeping an eye on one player, and offers for some elite players are probably on the horizon.

Two Premier League clubs want Forest star Murillo

The journalist Daniel Taylor, who supports the Forest, has been having a Q&A with The Athletic today and has talked about Murillo’s future.

He has stated that when the transfer market opens, two Premier League teams will be eager to bid on Murillo.

In addition, he’s implied that one Premier League team views him more as a left-back than a center-back, where he’s performed exceptionally well since joining Forest.

After making his Premier League debut in October against Brentford, Murillo was a constant.

Before he moved to the City Ground in the summer for £10.4 million, Forest managed to stave off competition from Manchester City.

More recently, it has been suggested that Forest could consider Murillo to be worth up to £70 million, which would be a substantial profit.

Given where Forest sit in the food chain, the club are going to be at the mercy of bigger clubs this summer.

There is also the added caveat of financial fair play hanging over the Reds.

Murillo looks like he will leave this summer and if he does, Forest will make a significant profit on his sale.

The 21-year-old has proved a tremendous talent and ultimately, the big challenge is to replace him with a player who is of similar quality.

Forest have unearthed some real gems from South America and hopefully, the club are working on a replacement for the left side of the defence if he does leave.

It’s a shame that Forest won’t be able to keep Murillo but the current situation is going to make that extremely difficult this summer.
