West Ham United is interested in signing former Manchester United youngster Angel Gomes, according to top transfer insider Graeme Bailey.

Following an impressive time of scouting, Gomes, who presently plays for Lille, has gained the attention of the Hammers.

West Ham United has been keeping an eye on Gomes for some time, and Graeme Bailey told TBR that the team has been suitably impressed with both his adaptability and performance. Tim Steidten, the technical director of West Ham, and head coach Julen Lopetegui are assiduously shaping the team’s summer transfer plans behind the scenes, and this interest is part of their larger plan.

Gomes is a very versatile athlete who is renowned for his flexibility on the field. He is a versatile player who can play as a winger, offensive midfielder, or holding midfielder. Because of his versatility, he is an asset to any team, and West Ham see him as a key player in their massive summer rebuild.

There is an urgent need for a roster revamp at West Ham United. The team has to focus on three areas this summer: improving their attacking options, fortifying the defense, and reinforcing the midfield. The addition of a player of Gomes’ caliber might have a big effect on their capacity to compete in the Premier League at a higher level.

The Hammers are not the only team considering Gomes, though. Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur have also been connected to the 23-year-old. In spite of this, West Ham may have an advantage in signing Gomes because of the assurance of more regular playing time.

Gomes would probably be a key member of West Ham’s plans under Lopetegui’s direction, providing him with the opportunity to advance his career and have a significant effect in the Premier League.
