Over the recent week, Crystal Palace had a number of players serving their country on international duty all over the world.

One of them was Marc Guehi, and fans were concerned when the defender did not appear for the second half of England’s game against Scotland.

Now, Roy Hodgson has issued an injury update on Guehi, and it’s not what fans want to hear.

Marc Guehi injury update from Roy Hodgson
Hodgson mentioned Guehi during his press conference prior of the Premier League match versus Villa.

“He’s likely to miss the game,” Palace boss Roy Hodgson stated. It’s a problem that we believe can be readily solved, or that he isn’t overly concerned about, but the game has unfortunately arrived too soon.

“Had we had ten days, or even four or five, we might have gotten him fit, but the day’s training he did today wasn’t enough time.”

“It’s a minor annoyance.” It’s just that the impact injury aggravated it enough that he can’t play in this game.”
Hopefully, the ‘great’ defender is just out for a short time. He is a vital member of the Crystal Palace team, and his outstanding defensive qualities will be sorely missed.

Villa away from home is a difficult game, and Palace have been dealt a blow with Guehi’s injury.
