Erik ten Hag’s future at Manchester United has been the subject of much speculation.

The Dutchman is allegedly not going to be fired before this month’s FA Cup final against Manchester City, despite the recent results.

A number of managers, including Graham Potter, Thomas Tuchel, and Gareth Southgate, have been linked to the team since the 54-year-old is unlikely to stay into the summer.

Thomas Frank, the manager of Brentford, is also being considered to succeed Ten Hag in the summer.

The Dane stated he is happy at Brentford but acknowledged he is flattered to be linked with Manchester United in a recent interview with Bold.

He said: “I am really happy where I am. It’s close to being the perfect club to be at. I can see myself being here for many years to come. “I am close to the owner – the sporting director and everyone around the club. Brentford is a club where I really feel comfortable.

He responded, “Immediately, I think it’s flattering and a recognition of what I do,” when asked about the connections to other teams.

And I’m happy that our efforts at Brentford are appreciated by others. Having said that, the situation at Brentford is not a one-man show.

Since taking over as manager of Brentford in 2018, Frank has performed admirably.

He oversaw three seasons in the English premier league and led the Bees to the Premier League.

He is most likely not the ideal candidate for United, though.

Since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement, the Red Devils have employed some of the biggest names in management, but none of them have been able to restore the team to its former glory.

Ten Hag needs to be given time to build something at United rather than endure speculation about his future.
