The Evening Standard reports that Everton center back Jarrad Branthwaite is open to leaving for a summer move despite interest from Manchester United and other bidders.

With significant roster changes anticipated, the Red Devils are keen in bringing the £80 million-rated 21-year-old to Old Trafford.

When their contracts expire at the end of the season, Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans are expected to depart as free agents, while Victor Lindelof or Harry Maguire may be traded to provide space for new players.

Spurs are also interested in Branthwaite, who has attracted interest this season because to his outstanding efforts that have kept the Toffees in the race.

Everton is desperate to hang on to one of its top players past the summer transfer window and will not be willing to let go of him, therefore Man United will be hoping to persuade him to join them instead.

Although they were penalized points for breaking the Premier League’s sustainability and profit policies, they were able to balance their books and are no longer in need of selling their best players.

But, a highly alluring offer might be too good to refuse, thus Man United will be hoping to entice the Goodison Park team with their offer.

It’s unclear if the Red Devils will spend up to £80 million for a player who has just played in one full Premier League season, but the fact that he is a homegrown talent makes him highly desirable to them.

After earning his first Three Lions call-up last month, Branthwaite is anticipated to become a fixture for the England national team moving forward. He also brings much-needed quality to the table.

After spending millions on virtually nothing over the past ten years, Man United will proceed cautiously with future transfer windows. It will be interesting to watch the choices they make this summer.
