With his recent comments regarding Celtics being the “best team in the league,” Steven Naismith has reversed course.

He was saying the same thing about Rangers just two months ago.

Following Celtic’s convincing 3-0 victory over Hearts, in which the Hoops completely outplayed their opponents, this shift in attitude has occurred.

Initially, after Rangers’ victory over his Hearts club [PLZ Soccer], Naismith named them the “best team in the league.” But in a recent interview with BBC Radio Scotland, he praised Celtic’s skill at game management, particularly when opponents miss opportunities. “Celtic are the best team in the league and most experienced in handling that situation, and they did,” Naismith said. “If you don’t take the chances.”

At least he’s found some sense in his words.

The timing of this admission is significant as Celtic gets ready for the impending derby with the Rangers. A victory in this game would virtually guarantee the league title, making Naismith’s predictions about the season’s conclusion come true.
