Monday Night Football will feature Dele Alli, an Everton player, making his first public appearance since disclosing personal details to Gary Neville.

For the first time since coming out with Gary Neville, Dele Alli will make a special appearance on Monday Night Football.

The former Tottenham player hasn’t played for Everton yet this season due to injury issues, but he’ll give punditry a go when Chelsea plays Everton. Alli is presently attempting to regain his full fitness after an unsatisfactory loan spell at Besiktas earlier this season.

Before his career took a turn for the worst, Alli was once heralded as a generational talent. He made his debut with MK Dons and had a significant effect at Tottenham under Mauricio Pochettino. Since then, he has discussed problems he had as a child on the Overlap.

Alli received a great deal of appreciation for his bravery in speaking up, and he will get the chance to express his opinions more on Sky Sports. Eric Dier, a former teammate who is currently at Bayern Munich, just acknowledged last week that he wishes he had done more for his friend.

Monday Night Football has continued to invite players into the studio

“It’s difficult for me to talk about Dele,” he told The Overlap. “I’m disappointed that I didn’t do more. In many situations that I look back on I wasn’t aware of the full picture and there’s a lot of things.

“I was that annoying older person, I would always be on his case so he would hide things from me, or tell me something but give just 20% of it. I have a lot of regrets and there were certain times that I wish I did more.”

Alli has continued to use his social media accounts to keep fans updated and has underlined the importance of focus. He said in one post: “You are your own greatest project” as he continues to dig deep in an effort to get back with Everton boss Sean Dyche keen to have him available.

Dele Alli is yet to feature for Everton this term

“As the year comes to an end, I just wanted to say thank you for the incredible support I’ve received over the last 12 months,” the athlete stated at the beginning of the year. I’ve had a lot of ups and downs this year, as well as a lot of learning and experiencing, but through it all, you’ve always given me such love.

“Unfortunately, the year isn’t concluding the way I had hoped. I was very close to getting back to my regular training schedule, but regrettably, my injury has given me yet another setback. I’ll be gone for a little bit again, but I have a really optimistic mindset. In order to get back on the field, I’ll be attacking my physical therapy and giving it everything.
