Crystal Palace could undergo a massive rebuilding project under Oliver Glasner in the summer after a disappointing 2023-24 campaign.

The Eagles are eight points above the relegation zone and Alan Shearer is confident they will secure Premier League safety.

Following a poor 2023–24 season, Crystal Palace may embark on a big reconstruction project under Oliver Glasner in the summer.

Alan Shearer is optimistic that the Eagles will ensure their Premier League safety, since they are currently eight points clear of the relegation zone.

The summer transfer window will be significant, and Palace may have to let go of some of their important players, such as Marc Guehi.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims that Guehi is being considered by several teams and may be “one to watch” in the summer.

The 23-year-old defender has suffered from injuries this season, and it will take him another three weeks to get back to full training.

Romano continues, saying that no clubs are currently in negotiations and that Palace will only take into account “significant” offers for Guehi and other players.

Crystal Palace transfer stance on Guehi

Romano wrote: “Palace will consider only important proposals, not normal ones, for Marc Guehi and any other star players. It certainly won’t be easy to sign players from them.

“At this stage I’m not aware of negotiations for Guehi so far with any club, but his name has been on the lists of multiple clubs for a long time so could be one to watch in the summer surely.”

The Telegraph reported earlier this month that the 23-year-old defender could leave the club in the summer and he has no shortage of admirers. The Eagles are already checking out options to replace Guehi.

The former Chelsea defender joined Selhurst Park in the summer of 2021 for a fee of £18m, and Palace will demand a hefty transfer fee, of over £50m if any potential suitor approaches.

Guehi has been outstanding for Palace over the past few years. Unfortunately, he has struggled with injuries this season, having made just 22 appearances in the Premier League. The defender picked up a serious knee injury and required surgery.

Oliver Glasner would love to keep Guehi but selling him at a high price also makes sense in terms of business. Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze are being regularly tracked by heavyweight Premier League clubs, but Palace are under no pressure to sell them.
