According to TalkSPORT, Tottenham Hotspur are tracking Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ahead of a possible summer approach for his services.
Since signing James Maddison in the summer of last year, the London heavyweights and Leicester enjoy an excellent working relationship. In his brief tenure at the team, Maddison has proven to be a tremendous hit, and it looks like Spurs and the Foxes may work out another trade agreement.
Spurs are among the teams keeping an eye on Dewsbury-Hall, who has made 43 appearances for the Foxes this season and has 11 goals and 14 assists, according to TalkSPORT.
Leicester is reportedly in danger of having to sell off their valuable asset in order to balance their books, having just disclosed losses for the most recent fiscal year 2022–2023. The losses were estimated to be close to £90 million.
Another team that likes the 25-year-old, who is presently valued at £45 million at Leicester, is Brighton & Hove Albion.
Excellent midfield player
The 25-year-old is presently fighting for promotion with the Foxes after emerging as one of the Championship’s top performers this season. In addition to his 25 goal contributions this season, Dewsbury-Hall has shown promise in other areas.
With 5.2 ball recoveries per contest, the Englishman has nearly five duels to his credit. Additionally, he has a strong work ethic, making him the ideal addition for boss Ange Postecoglou. Although he can play as a number six, Dewsbury-Hall likes to play in the left central midfield position.
He is currently valued in the region of £45 million, but Spurs will be hoping to negotiate a lesser fee with the sell pressure for the Foxes. Their chances could become better, suppose the Foxes are unable to secure promotion from the Championship. Leicester were in pole position to clinch Premier League promotion at one stage of the campaign, but it is no longer a certainty. They are presently 3rd in the standings and could get involved in a play-off to return to the top-flight at the first time of asking.
