Paul Mullin scored four goals at Racecourse Ground on Saturday to lead the Red Dragons past Accrington 4-0. Top goalscorer Elliot Lee also scored a goal. Prior to the most recent installment of Welcome to Wrexham, an in-the-trenches documentary series that tracks the Welsh team every season, former Irish international McClean joked that the Accrington victory ought to be highlighted in the program.
Following Wrexham’s social media picture of Lee, Mullin, and Ollie Palmer hugging following their 4-0 victory, the 34-year-old Red Dragons winger included the following in his Instagram story: “Let’s include that in the documentary as well, shall we? A delightful afternoon’s labor.”

With the three points, Wrexham moved up to third position in League Two, one spot shy of automatic promotion, ahead of Crewe Alexandra. Despite having the greatest home record in the division, the Red Dragons may need to improve their road performance because nine other teams have stronger away records.

Wrexham’s next games are a trip to Morecambe in League Two on Saturday and a home match against Harrogate Town three days later. With one game remaining, Wrexham sits three points behind league leaders Mansfield.
