If the Tennessee Titans are to win a Super Bowl in the next five years, they have a lot of issues to resolve, and new general manager Ran Carthon will not have an easy time rebuilding the squad following the departure of important players.

But if they are able to choose the right players in the 2018 NFL Draft, they could be able to expedite the rebuilding process. The Titans have the potential to soon rise to the top of the NFL in terms of danger if they are able to acquire players who can improve their club.

Areas the Tennessee Titans should focus on in the draft

Offensive line

It’s widely believed that the Tennessee Titans would select Joe Alt with the seventh overall pick in the 2024 Draft. The Tennessee Titans allowed their QBs to get sacked an astonishing 64 times throughout the season, so getting an upgrade through the draft is their first order of business.

Many observers predict they’ll take Joe Alt with their first pick, but they could ultimately choose a different player depending on the outcome of the combine and the pro days of the lineman they’re interested in drafting.

Wide receivers

Another problem area the Tennessee Titans need to address is the wide receiver room. DeAndre Hopkins is the only wideout who notched more than 600 yards last season, making their pass offense completely one-dimensional.

Getting a wideout who can take the pressure off Hopkins should make the job easier for the Titans. Fortunately for them, there are also plenty of high-quality wideouts who can contribute to the offense even if they don’t trade up for one.

Defensive back

The Tennessee Titans allowed 7.3 yards per pass and 67.8% opponent passing completion percentage, making them one of the weakest passing defenses in the league. While Dennard Wilson will help address the pass defense, they still need capable athletes who can step up to the plate.

Oregon Ducks, Khyree Jackson

Khyree Jackson of Oregon is one player they can target in the middle rounds of the draft, but there are also other options available. Schutte suggested players like Mike Sainristil as another capable player who can bolster the secondary.
