According to The Athletic [subscription required], Tottenham Hotspur have put a £30 million buy-back clause for Kyle Walker-Peters who is now wanted by the league rivals Arsenal.

Within the last transfer window, it has been more reserved, not only for Arsenal but for the majority of the Premier League and Championship clubs. Clubs will be careful because the PSRs of the Premier League provide restrictions.

It was expected that the ex-Spurs star would leave Southampton club in the summer because they got relegated to the Championship. On the other hand, he did stay with my St Mary’s and has been playing a vital part for them on the mission of gaining the promotion to the Premier League.

Arsenal are now looking to sign Kyle Walker-Peters.
Arsenal are now looking to sign Kyle Walker-Peters.

As of now, Arsenal have Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Cedric Soares as their current starting right-backs. White is the one preferred this season, and Cedric did not appear in the Premier League game yet.

It appears that Chelsea would be a better fit for the full-back, as he could get more playing time due to the absence of first-choice right-back Reece James. He will only need to compete with Malo Gusto, who serves as the backup in that role.

A transfer to either team would see him make a comeback to the Premier League.

Kyle Walker-Peters joined Southampton permanently but his contract ends next year.

Now that Hart is expected to depart Celtic, the opposition in Glasgow will have to search far and wide for a replacement goalie. However, it appears improbable that they will be able to locate a player with Butland’s caliber, underscoring once again how brilliant Rangers were in acquiring him.
