Burnley has signed striker Abby Clarke, who left the Everton Women’s team, the club said in an official statement.

On February 9th, the Toffees officially announced that Clarke, who debuted in the previous season, would be joining the National League North team.

Everton currently sit in 10th place on the WSL table, battling relegation.

Proper decision by Everton

It’s important for the Toffees to maintain a high standard and continuously evolve to improve.

While Clarke showed promise, her departure allows the club to make space for new talent or bring in experienced players who can contribute more immediately.

Dominant Blues Draw With Villa

By setting a high bar for performance and ensuring players meet expectations, Everton can foster a competitive environment that drives growth and success.

This decision emphasises the club’s commitment to progress and maintaining a squad that meets their ambitions.

Fans certainly will be wishing the best for Clarke as she’s Everton through and through but know that to progress she will have to play regularly.

The Toffees will be looking to better their dismal start to the season and the recent 3-0 defeat to Chelsea will not have helped.

Hopefully, they put up a better showing in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool next month.
