According to the injury specialist, Sean Dyche’s remarks regarding the English winger indicate that he views him as a strong player.

Given the Toffees’ injury crisis this early in the season, that has undoubtedly aided his recovery and return to play for the team.

Doctor of physical treatment and sports scientist Brar, who spoke exclusively with Goodison News about his plight, stated,

“I interpreted Dyche’s remarks to mean that McNeil is a reasonably resilient player in terms of his health and fitness, which undoubtedly aids his recovery.

“Dyche wasn’t downplaying the severity either; he continued by stating that Mcneil will miss weeks rather than days due to the damaged ankle ligaments.

“It appears that he healed fast and well, as he played for a short while just before the international break.

He is now healthy and will probably play against Arsenal.

Dyche acknowledged in August that McNeil does not sustain injuries frequently and predicted that he will heal more quickly than other players.

It’s fair to assume that’s exactly what happened, and the wide attacker will likely play against Arsenal, either right away or after the break.

With the departures of Alex Iwobi and Demarai Gray, the Toffees are down to just two players in the wide areas while Jack Harrison is still injured.
