Dr Rajpal Brar says it’s unlikely that Stanley Mills, the winger for Everton, will be back in the gym before the season is out.

According to the injury expert, the 20-year-old will miss the remainder of the season because of ligament damage to his knee.

The 20-year-old Oxford loanee sustained the injury early in the month during an FA Cup match against Coventry. The Toffees

announced on January 8 that the youthful winger had returned to Goodison Park for medical attention.

Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapy specialist, said the following about Mills in an exclusive interview with Goodison News:

Difficult to say what the exact nature of the injury is without video but he has had some ligament damage to the knee and his recovery will be longer rather than shorter.

Based on some of the manager’s comments, doesn’t sound like he will be in training before the season and will need to use the summer to continue rehabbing and ramping up.

The primary focus now will be to ensure that he’s getting the best treatment so a return to Everton makes sense.

The 20-year-old made 21 appearances in League One this season, providing seven assists and scoring a goal.

He’s also made two senior bows for Everton, with his debut coming in August 2022 in a 1-0 victory over Fleetwood Town in the EFL Cup.
