Kane spoke to the press ahead of the Euro 2024 qualifier against Ukraine, and he noted the disparity in expectations between the two clubs. He admitted that the strain at Bayern Munich is different.

Kane stated that, while there was a drive to win at Spurs, the ramifications of losing a couple of games were not devastating. He did, however, emphasize the immense pressure to win every game at Bayern Munich.

He stated

“It’s definitely different pressure than I felt at Spurs.”

“Of course, we wanted to win things at Spurs, but it wasn’t a disaster if you went a couple of games without winning.”

“At Bayern, the feeling is that you have to win every game.” We won the first two games 4-0 and 3-1, but there was still some dissatisfaction with the way we performed.”

“It’s all part of being at one of the world’s biggest clubs.” But we’ve had a wonderful start, and I’m enjoying experiencing the many feelings, which is one of the reasons I wanted to go.”

“And we start the Champions League campaign when we get back, which they expect to win – or have a good chance of winning. So you’re going into those games with maybe a different feeling to what I’ve had in the past.”

After a lengthy transfer controversy, Kane joined Bayern Munich in August for a sum close to £100 million. He spent his whole career at Spurs, and although setting a number of individual records, he failed to win a trophy, which was the motivating cause behind his move to the European heavyweights.

While Kane’s words may not be a direct blow at his old club, they do highlight his desire to compete at the highest level and challenge for major trophies—a goal he believes he can achieve at Bayern Munich.
