The most recent rumors and information about transfers involving Brighton & Hove Albion and other Premier League teams

Armando Broja is valued at £50 million by Chelsea, which will make any deal this month very challenging.

The 22-year-old Broja was previously connected to Brighton after his standout Southampton loan.

The Albania international striker has however been hindered with injuries since his return to Chelsea and he has just two goals in all-competitions to his name this term.

Chelsea wants to add more firepower, but in order to meet FFP regulations, they must sell first.

According to reports, the team is willing to let Broja go in January, although they anticipate getting paid about £50 million for its attacker.

It appears like a significant sum for a player with a history of injuries and poor performance in the Premier League.

Despite their previous interest, Brighton are highly unlikely to go anywhere near that figure, especially as they have Danny Welbeck, Joao Pedro and Evan Ferguson all fit and firing once more and competing for the striking role.

Wolves, who face Brighton this Monday at the Amex, are said to be interested in Broja, as are Fulham and West Ham, according to the Metro.co.uk.

David Moyes is desperate for new arrivals to bolster West Ham’s injury hit squad but the very expensive £50m price tag could be too high for them as well.

Given that Mauricio Pochettino is without Nicolas Jackson due to the AFCON and that Christopher Nkunku’s fitness is a problem, Chelsea will only sell if they can bring in an upgrade. Broja may have more first-choice opportunities in the upcoming weeks.
