According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Fulham has entered the race for Plymouth star Morgan Whittaker, joining London rivals West Ham and Brentford.

This season, the 23-year-old has excelled in the Championship, and several Premier League teams have taken note of his play.

Whittaker has made 29 appearances in all competitions this season, tallying an impressive 15 goals and dishing out six assists.

The hero of Plymouth has scored six goals in his previous six league contests.

Fulham is prepared to enter the competition for the signing of Whittaker, an attacking midfielder, after Brentford and West Ham watched him closely in an attempt to increase their offensive options.

In the competition for the division’s Golden Boot, he is only trailed by Sammie Szmodics after 14 Championship strikes this season.

Whittaker’s loan period at Home Park ended a few months sooner, and he returned to Plymouth permanently last summer (2023).

The former Swansea player reportedly only cost Argyle a club record £1 million plus add-ons.

In the first part of the 2022–23 season, the midfield player helped Plymouth win promotion to the Championship with nine goals and seven assists. However, in January 2023, Swansea called up the player.

He managed just one goal in 15 Swans appearances last term after returning to Wales.

Plymouth now stand to land a huge profit on Whittaker if he makes the move to the Premier League.
