According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, West Ham may think about letting go of Said Benrahma, a reported target for the Saudi Pro League, during the January transfer window.

Only four of the Irons’ thirteen Premier League games this season have seen the 28-year-old start, and it’s thought he wants more playing time in the starting lineup.

Benrahma might be on the radar of a few elite league teams in the upcoming year as he fits the profile of the mega-rich Saudi regime’s ideal signing.

Moving to the Middle East would be unexpected considering his contribution to Moyes’ team’s Europa Conference League victory in the 2023–24 season.

However, if a “big” offer comes in January, West Ham would think about cashing in on the Algerian international, a reliable source informed Football Insider.

Although the former Brentford player has been a consistent performer for the Irons since coming on loan in 2020, David Moyes’ first-choice eleven has not yet included him as a constant.

Despite playing 873 minutes in 16 games across all competitions, he has only contributed one assist.

In 52 games the previous season, Benrahma scored 12 goals and provided five assists as West Ham won the Europa Conference League.

However, Mohammed Kudus’s arrival has restricted his playing time this season, thus Moyes once more views him as a member of the squad.

Established internationals for Algeria and Ghana, respectively, Benrahma and Kudus, will go in the New Year for the Africa Cup of Nations in the Ivory Coast.

If they make it to the competition final, the two might miss up to five games.

Reportedly, Benrahma paid a total of £30 million to go permanently from Brentford to West Ham in January 2021.

With 149 games played with the Irons, the winger, whose contract expires in June 2026, has contributed 19 assists and 24 goals.
