The SFA and Scottish football, like Belgium, should safeguard players from needlessly early kickoff timings, according to Rangers manager Philippe Clement.

Just over 60 hours after the squad’s previous game, Rangers trounced Livingston at the Tony Macaroni, and the Belgian coach was speaking after Philippe Clement led his team to East Lothian.

Rangers returned home at 12 p.m. on Sunday after wrapping off their Europa League match against Sparta Prague at around 10 p.m. on Thursday.

Philippe Clement criticized the situation at the time, and now the Rangers manager is appealing with the SFA to reconsider this strategy in order to safeguard the interests of the players and the game.

“I believe that’s the better approach for Scottish football,” Clement remarked. In Belgium and other leagues, they carry it out.

“Those who have never played would wonder what the difference is between playing for eight hours versus six. However, because players don’t have much time to recover, these hours of sleep and recuperation make a significant difference in a body’s ability to heal.

“Recovery is a crucial component of our schedule because we play every three days and will play 12 games in about 38 days (after the international break).” The meal, beverage, cryo, and timing of sleep.

It’s crucial, in my opinion, that clubs that play on Thursday nights in Europe play on Sunday nights in every league. That is done in many leagues, so perhaps we will see it in the future.
