Given that the two primary strikers for West Ham have only combined for two goals in the Premier League this year, it makes perfect sense that David Moyes would think about starting Jarrod Bowen up front for the next few games, if not more.

The England international is a goal machine, even when starting from a wide position, and the Hammers will undoubtedly gain from his playing with such confidence.

The team already has a promising young player in Divin Mubama, if Moyes is searching for someone who understands where the net is. However, it looks like they’ve missed their opportunity to help make him a Premier League star.

According to WhoScored, despite being just 19 years old, he has only played 25 minutes in the first squad this season, and none of those minutes have been in the English premier league.

This indicates that he has kept declining the club’s advances, even though it is obvious they want to keep him.

Instead, according to Claret and Hugh, Watford seems to be offering him a way out in January since his contract is scheduled to expire in the summer.

In order to avoid losing the player for nothing at all at the conclusion of the season, the Hammers must sell during the winter transfer window.

This choice highlights how inadequate the club’s talent acquisition and retention practices have been.
