Clarification of Rasmus Kristensen’s Roma position and discussion of the likelihood of an immediate return to Leeds United
James Marshment claims that there is no likelihood of Rasmus Kristensen returning to Leeds United right away despite his exclusion from Roma’s Europa League roster.
The 26-year-old Kristensen joined Leeds United from Red Bull Salzburg last summer and made 26 Premier League appearances as the Whites were relegated.
Kristensen, like many other Leeds United players, secured a loan exit from the team during the summer transfer window. The Dane joined Jose Mourinho’s Roma.
Since then, he has made two Serie A appearances for the team, although Mourinho decided not to include Kristensen in the team for this year’s Europe League, raising questions about his loan in Italy.
Although it’s unknown whether the loan has a break option available in January, TEAMtalk’s Marshment has clarified the situation: Kristensen is still eligible to play in Serie A, and an instant return to Elland Road for Kristensen is not conceivable.

Being left off of the Europa League roster does not necessarily mean that Kristensen has been banished from the team. The Leeds player in the league may still be used by Mourniho.
However, his absence from the team is certainly unexpected, and it may portend some early conflict for Kristensen at Roma.
He is without a doubt a brilliant player, and this season, a move to Roma seemed like the best option for him because the Dane appeared to be one of many who preferred not to play in the Championship.
It might be a really difficult time for Kristensen if things don’t work out for him and Leeds is unable to cancel the loan and come up with another solution.
